we are revelling in *normal*.
Yesterday, so many were faced with the absolute worst reality. The worst of humanity.
The hardest thing we can possibly imagine....
Wishing love and peace and comfort for everyone involved.
For those of us left trying to understand the tragedy, wondering how to handle our own homes and children, I thought I'd pass along the words of Barabara Colorosso:
"What are children need from us right now, in the face of unthinkable tragedy is T-A-SO.
Time
Affection
and a
Sense of Optimism
.....not the rose-colored-all-is-well-with-the-world kind of optimism, no.
The we can get up and make dinner, go to soccer practice, and get up the next day and make breakfast optimism.
The optimism of knowing that we can get through this".
Today we are revelling in the normal with a sense of optimism.
