Autumn Crafting.

October is one of my very favorite months. Home to my second favorite holiday (Thanksgiving) and my third favorite holiday (Hallowe'en) and Winnie's birthday. This year marks number FOUR for Winn. I can hardly believe it!

We are planing three big events to mark these favorite of occasions and, as such, we are crafting and cooking in overdrive.

We have so many projects *almost finished* and *just started* and *needing more attention*....and we're doing our best, while making sure to spend plenty of time outdoors just enjoying this absolutely magical time of year.

I'll be sure to share all of our craftings as our parties come and go but I thought I'd share this very sweet, simple craft for your Thanksgiving table.

Twig Candle Holders

Using twigs from the backyard, old glass vases and a glue gun we made these lovely twig candle holders.

I love the candle holders without the ribbon but glue gun was NOT the best idea for this project and I ended up need to use some floral wire to keep the twigs in place. I then covered the floral wire with a wide chocolate brown ribbon.

There are special glues for glass surfaces, which may have been a better idea.

Either way, I love them.

I think they are going to look amazing on our table with some floral centrepieces in hollowed out pumpkin *vases*, candles in mason jars and lots of leaves heaped in piles.

We plan to host our Thanksgiving dinner in our old shed in the backyard. Fingers crossed it's not too cold!!

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?
