Snuffle Tea.

We had a weekend of fevers and flus and sniffles and snuffles.

It started with Pippa and one very long, very scary bout of febrile seizures. Followed by a night at the hospital because things were a bit atypical.....Thankfully all is well. Just a quick rising fever, a little baby brain that was protecting itself, and now a happy little gal on the mend!

Unfortunately, the virus that set her off has been slowly creeping around the house. Combine that with many nights tending to sick kids, sans sleep, and I'm feeling a little under the weather myself.

The Irish girl inside me keeps screaming for tea. Black tea. With lots of milk.
I really do believe somewhere deep down that black tea and milk will fix everything......

Unfortunately, it has little effect on a head full of congestion.
So I made myself some Snuffle Tea.

2 wedges (or more!) of fresh lemon, squeezed and then dropped into a mug
1 cloves of garlic, peeled and roughly chopped, added to the mug
1 hunk of fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped, added to the mug

Pour boiling water over the lot, let it steep for a few minutes and then drink up.....over and over again until things are feeling better!

**You can add honey too though I prefer it without.

  1. SOunds like a healer Jill! I do it without the garlic but next time we are sick I will throw some in too! Glad to hear that Pippa is on the mend and hope that it is a quick go through for the rest of you!
