How was your New Year's Eve?
We rang in the New Year in the loveliest of ways....
A last minute babysitter
Leather leggings (oh yes I did!)
Yummy Food
Auld Lang Syne....sung very badly by all
Taboo
A lot of giggles
and a warm, snowy walk home at 3am.
We're on day two of recuperations, not just from the evening but from the entire holiday.
Today I'm taking down decorations and sweeping pine needles out of corners and trying to find a way back to normal.
Jamie and I have spent the past week going over our vision and goals for 2013, writing declarations (more on that later!) and contemplating resolutions....or as I like to think of them: intentions.
Last year my biggest intention was to communicate more effectively, from a place of love and understanding. It was a journey and continues to be something I have to work hard at but it was such a successful year, well worth the effort and discomfort involved in changing behaviours I've clung to for a long time!
This year my intention is to Be Brave.
I'm conjuring up the courage to:
Be myself. Always.
Let go of perfectionism.
Parent my children in a way that only I can.
Be vulnerable.
Follow my dreams and do more of what I love.
Screw up.
Be honest.
Take big chances.
Brave is definitely my focus word for the year.
Do you have a focus word?
PS I love THIS POST from last January. Give it a read:)
