she draws!

I had an OMG moment on Monday. Winnie handed me a drawing and, I know it's no Jackson Pollock, but it was good.

Maybe even better?
Just Kidding. I'm a proud mom but I'm not delusional....

Seriously though, instead of just scribbles and splatters, these drawings had people!

Real (abstract) people.

Somehow, overnight she went from non-sensical lines representing people and places to something recognizable.

It's incredible. How did she learn to do that? I know I didn't teach her. I though we were ages away from this kind of work.

So, now I find these little drawings all over my house: stuck to the wall and the floor, taped and stuffed places they shouldn't be taped and stuffed.

It's a joy to watch my two gals spend ages at this little old desk; Winnie drawing furiously and telling long elaborate stories and she goes, Pippa just trying to keep up.

Who knows what's next? They're always surprising me, these little people.
Have a great Wednesday!

  1. I know!! Ryan did the same thing. One day I looked over and she had drawn a stick figure with a large head and face. I didn't teach her either.
