Holiday Handmade Recap: Up-cycled Leg Warmers

I had a lot of projects on the go this season and, while I intended to knit my sister some leg warmers, time just ran out.

I needed a fun, simple, quick way to whip of a pair of leg warmers.....because she loves them so much and I was determined to include a pair in her present.

I just happened to have several misshapen sweaters that were dying for a makeover, so I picked the brightest sweater, in the best shape, and started cutting.......




A zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine and some cute buttons and they were done!

I haven't seen them on her yet but she says they're super comfy in boots (because they're not as bulky as most knit leg warmers) and they look great!
