Crafting with Kidlings

Last weekend we had a baptism/welcome party for our little Pippa. My friend, J, and her two little sweeties brought a small, super sweet gift for my girls. They had taken spoons and FIMOed the handles. Remember FIMO?? How awesome is that?

Winnie has been obsessed with them all week, insisting that she use both her and Pippa's spoons to eat every meal, digger-dumptruck-style.

I am always looking for kid friendly crafts and we just happen to have a newly-2 birthday girl coming to visit this weekend, so I decided to borrow J's idea. Thanks J!

I just happened to have a big bag of FIMO on hand (who doesn't?) and a small mis-matched spoon that somehow ended up in our drawer ages ago. We rolled long FIMO worms, wrapped them around the handle, did a bit of squishing, engraved the birthday girl's name, baked it for 15 minutes and.....

TA-DA! A matching set. Super cute, functional and complete by 8:30am.



We'll package it up with a few other surprises and wait for our favorite little two year old to arrive!

Now, what else can I FIMO?
