I've compiled a dreamy collection of "would-love" gifts in four categories: Something to want, something to need, something to wear, something to read.

Something to Want
Beautiful custom made jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Though it is, technically, a bit late to be ordering pieces for Mother's Day, I think a proud mama would be happy to receive one of these any day!
Says Lisa: "My desire is to create simple, lovely pieces that can be worn with jeans or your little black dress."
The Family Tree Necklace

Jumble of Charms Necklace

I couldn't NOT included these, too cute for words, engraved spoons. These may not be Mother's Day specific but I think they would make a charming wedding or baby shower gift.

Something to Need
A subscription to cocodot! Uber luxe e-stationary that's affordable, easy to send (especially when you're in a pinch!), and paperless! I love this site for creating party invitations and sending birthday cards. A yearly subscription is a must!

Something to Wear
Anything from Camilla Boutique
"Located in Brooklyn's Boerum Hill neighborhood, Camilla Boutique is a completely eco-friendly boutique. With the increasingly fashion forward designs emerging from green designers every day you no longer have to sacrifice style to be environmentally friendly."

These shoes are 100% Vegan Natural Linen with a Microfibre Heel....they are, apparently, also super comfy. I might just order a pair for myself!
Something to Read
A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg, author of the award winning blog Orangette.

The Critics Say: "Molly Wizenberg recounts a life with the kitchen at its center. From her mother's pound cake, a staple of summer picnics during her childhood in Oklahoma, to the eggs she cooked for her father during the weeks before his death, food and memories are intimately entwined. You won't be able to decide whether to curl up and sink into the story or to head straight to the market to fill your basket with ingredients for Cider-Glazed Salmon and Pistachio Cake with Honeyed Apricots."
Of course, a bouquet of pale pink peonies, a bottle of red and a hefty supply of dark mint chocolate would do…..
I'm just sayin'....
I love your blog so much.
ReplyDeleteTell little Winnie that Ruby says hello!
(Can you believe it's been almost a full year since we've seen each other?!)
Happy second Mother's Day!
