You've seen these all over the place, I'm sure. Nothing new here!
Just a sweet little craft. using up crayon leftovers.
*We bought old crayons at Value Village for $2.50 as we didn't really have a tons of leftover crayon bits....
I just love these. They turned out so bright and beautiful!
A few tips:
- May sure your silicone tray is oven-proof. One mum told me she melted (what was probably an ice cube tray) and a whole whack of crayons in her oven. Awful mess!!!
- Similar colors tend to look best together. Also, I added a bit of *light* to each batch. A little bit of peach, white, nude, beige makes the other colors stand out.
- Use a knife (like an X-acto) so make a big slit down the crayon wrapper. This makes the wrappers super easy to get off. Otherwise, it's a nightmare trying to peel them!
- I melted mine at 350C for 15 minutes and then let them cool for about 30 minutes before taking them out of the pan.
Have a Great Day!
These are fabulous!!
