Happiness in a Pen.
[Picture: Instagram]
It's been weeks of pen frustration.
Every pen I pick up is broken or out of ink.
I manage to hoard a couple of decent pens in my office and when I return a few days later they've *magically* disappeared.
At home, I keep finding pens over and over and over again that don't work.
I realize they are totally crappy but I put them back in the same drawer/desktop holder/pen jar, only to find them there again 30 minutes later.
Pen Frustration.
Even though I've been really irritated by this super serious pen situation, generally, pens make me really happy.
Like, really happy.
A great pen brings an inordinate amount of joy to my day.
I love really inky pens.
Bic Uniballs.
Staples Optiflow.
Black is my preference.
Today, I'm committed to ridding the house of broke down pens and purchasing a small stash of my favs.
Because it's the little things.
Right?
Ha!!! I SOOOOO hear you!!! a good pen (where and when you need it) is a beautiful thing)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear I am not alone in pen frustration!
ReplyDeleteAs a university student there are days where I waste hours looking for the perfect pen to write a paper, only to be let down. Back to school season causes a rush of adrenaline for me because I know there will be aisle after aisle of sales on pens of all styles, makes and colours. I am particular to purples and greens.
I think my obsession stems back to grade school. I had a teacher that had this pen with a really long tapered body, she used it to mark my work. I found some at the local Army&Navy store and was in true heaven.
My recent favourite is the InkJoy by Papermate.
