Are you a buyer or a maker?
I definitely fall into the latter category.
Making gifts is one of my favorite things to do.....
That being said, I run into the same dilemma every year:
I spend the fall making gifts (loving every minute of it!).
I prep early so I can enjoy the holidays and then, right around now, just when things are settling down and I can sit back and enjoy I start to feel bad that I *only made* gifts.
I know I love a great store bought gift. Maybe others would prefer that too?
Do my gifts seem a little too home made?
Do I seem cheap?
(*NB: Making gifts is NOT cheap...I just wonder if it seems that way?)
Anyway, every year, right around now I find myself out buying gifts to add to the home made ones.
It's silly and it's not easy on the Christmas budget!
This year I'm trying to avoid the trap! I'm sticking to the plan.
I am Sticking. To. The. Plan.
But if I were to buy gifts, here's what I'd pick up......
Vintage Games.....the gift of time together!
[Scrabble and Bingo from Restoration Hardware]
Books I'm Lovin'
[Cookbook amazing-ness]
[From one of the former Editors of Domino Magazine!]
[A sneak peek at the bookshelves of the famous. Book Porn.]
[A Super Inspiring business book that applies to everyday life. Inspiration!]
