A Wee Little Gift for a Very Big Girl.

Last weekend Winnie's friend Ryan turned 4. The big OH-FOUR.
Her mom threw the sweetest little mermaid party....and Winnie has been waering her very own, handcrafted mermaid dress ever since.

Isn't that just the cutest thing?

Winnie and I wanted to give Ryan something crafty. Something we made. We were in need of a project that would involve both of us and come together in a few short hours, hear and there, while Pippa napped.

I decided to pull out the ModgePodge.....my absolute favorite craft supply.
We grabbed some old magazine, brand-new-just waiting-for-inspiration art books, and scissors.
And we got to work!

We ModgePodged our little hearts out.
Layer by layer, we cut and glued, cut and glued, until the final layer, when we added sequins! and glitter! And then we ModgePodged some more......

and in the end, we had the most beautiful art books. One for Ryan and one for Winnie.

And then, with a little less help from Winn, I threw together a felt pencil roll.
Because every artist needs her pencils, right?
