We spent the day in and out of the backyard. Filling pots, working on the garden, digging up worms and making magic potions....{Plants: Viola, Lobelia, Bidens, Sanvitalia, Petunia, Salvia}

Green Idea!

Our planters are HUGE. When filled with soil, water and plants, they are impossible to move. So heavy!

Thanks to my genius next door neighbour, I've found a way to make my planters movable and reuse some old recyclables.

First, fill the bottom of your large planter with empty plastic water bottles (I didn't have those, so I used other plastic recyclables: lettuce containers, strawberry containers, etc....).

Second, cover with a piece of fabric or other *false bottom*. I used up old tile samples from the reno. Perfect!

Last, fill with soil and plant! 

Isn't that amazing?! Am I the only one who didn't know this trick?
