I've been wanting to try this for ages and finally worked up the guts to do it. A little video cooking show. Well, actually, it's a pretty long cooking show....there's a steep learning curve on this type of project and we'll tape ourselves a bit differently next time so we can shorten things up......but for today, I'll break the video into two parts.
Cooking with Jill!
Raw Food Part One: Chocolate Pudding
This is a raw pudding made with only five ingredients: avocados, cocoa, honey, vanilla and sea salt.
Overall the texture was amazing but I found the pudding a bit bitter.
It's a really incredible, healthy alternative to store bought puddings but I'd add more sweetener......

The complete recipe can be found in this month's Whole Living Magazine.

In a few days, I'll post Raw Food Part Two: Zucchini "Pasta" with Garlic and Tomato!
Stay Tuned!
You are brilliant. If I can ever get out of my house for groceries I'm trying that. LI've that it is lactose and gluten free xxoo
ReplyDeleteWell you're super adorable, love the video, was just thinking of doing one myself! Now I'm motivated!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this!! I would totally try this recipe! Very good job at your first attempt to video blog!
ReplyDeleteI tried this recipe today. I added some sugar to sweeten it up and it tasted quite good right after blending it. I put it in the fridge for about an hour though (to have it after supper) and when we had it then it had a strong avocado-taste to it (so no one liked/ate it). Does the recipe say anything about eating it right away? Does it not keep in the fridge for long?
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about the texture though -- so creamy!
I found the same thing. I liked it right away (after adding a bit of sugar) and then later that night found it too avocado-y. I think you need to eat it right away. Pretty good for raw food though!
