Yes! Yes! Yes!

My husband, the hero, has done it!
We had one last chance to get the house done "pre-baby" and for 2 weeks I have been holding my breath, afraid to get too excited......but, BUT, I think Jamie has done it!

This Morning:

We needed him to finish the house insulating, vapour barrier and drywall today so we could get mudders/painters/tilers in (and out of) the house in the next two weeks and guess what, he (mostly) did it! {*Note: he has two or three small areas left to drywall tomorrow night but it won't hold us up! No it won't!}

He's aged about ten years and hasn't been to bed before midnight in weeks, but he did it. For us. What I love most? Somehow, despite the fatigue, the hands that aren't working like they should and enormity of pressure he's been under, that hubby of mine has managed to keep his sense of humour. Humour that seems to be needed now, more than ever.....

I spent most of the afternoon at the house, cleaning the upper floor, lugging drywall and garbage and getting the space ready for mudding...and I am so freakin' sore. I know I'm eight+ months pregnant and the relaxin hormone rushing through my veins and loosening my joints doesn't help, but I really don't know how Jamie does it....Nevertheless, it felt awesome to be there, contributing, getting things done!

Hopefully, if all goes well, Jamie will get a bit of a break in the next week or two while our help works away. Then one final PUSH before both the baby and the house are ours.

As the Day Wore On:

Tonight, Still Working:

{Many, many thanks to all of the friends and family who have helped so far! We are totally relying on your generosity and you just keep on surprising us! Thank you!}

Check out the pics....It's a house! A house! It's feeling warm and cozy already....
