Last Minute Gifts......

Only two weeks 'til the BIG day! It's so exciting and yet it seems to be going by just too fast.....

For all of you last minute people I thought I'd pass along some gift ideas that don't require weeks of planning and preparation. Something you can easily get together in an afternoon!

Winnie was only 2 1/2 months old when Christmas arrived two years ago. I was tired and had little time to get gifts together. I came up with the idea to put "Green Cleaning" packages together for our families.

I assembled a collection of eco-friendly cleaning products and all purpose cleaning cloths in beautiful, re-useable bags.

Green One Bags
These are a few of the bags I purchased from Green One Ventures. They were quite a bit more expensive at the time....the price seems to have dropped ($15.99) which is great! They are made from organic cotton and are super sturdy. They feature a large bag with 2 side "wine" pockets....and the company founder is from Ontario!




Cleaning Products to Include:

Aubrey's Organic Earth Aware All Purpose Cleaner. I've mentioned this one before, and I do again, because it really is one of the best eco-friendly cleaners out there. From the ingredients to the packaging, this cleaner is the best!

Mabu Cloths I love these 100% wood fibre cloths. They are super absorbent and antibacterial. Though you can use them with soap, they work best with just water on any surface! Also know as the "Duzi" cloth.


E-Cloths
These are also incredible "cleaner-free" cleaning cloths. I particularly love the one for stainless steel!


I think these Eco-Me kits are also awesome. They contain everything you need to make your own cleaning supplies over and over again.


Though I didn't have this recipe at the time, I think the addition of some homemade laundry soap I wrote about HERE would make a great addition to the bag or an amazing gift on it's own...and it's so quick to make!

Oh, and all of the kids got Kleen Kanteens that year! I ordered a couple of cases online and my shopping was done!


Our family members who were already into this "stuff" loved the extra supply of green cleaning products and it was fun to introduce those who weren't using eco-friendly cleaners to something new!
