Welcome!

Welcome to Yippie!, a blog for young (and young at heart) urban hippies living in Kingston, Ontario. I am a naturopathic doctor and a professor in the health and fitness field. I strive to raise my family in a holistic, homemade, eco-conscious way, and yet, I am not what you would typically call 'granola'. I love the chaos of downtown living and all that a city has to offer: the sights, the sounds ... and even the smells! I hope this blog will serve as a resource for those individuals and families seeking alternative ways to live WELL in the Limestone City ... and urban jungles everywhere!

I write about all of the many things that keep me feeling balanced and nourished: my family, naturopathic medicine, food, exercise, great reads/movies, things I am crafting/home-making, and all of the amazing resources and people I have found along the way.
