What We've Been Up To...

I haven't been here much this summer. That's not to say there hasn't been a lot happening, I just seem to have lost my blogging mojo temporarily.

In the past, I've panicked a bit when this has happened. I felt like the decrease in interest = blog over. That the blog was too much and it was *invading my life*, and it must be time to let it go....now I know that that's a load of crap. This is just the normal ebb and flow of blog-land.

I'm going to really go with the ebb and officially take time off, so I'l be back in action, full of excitement and inspiration, when September (my favorite time of the year!!!!) hits.


Until then, here is a recap of "what we've been up to":




PUPPET SHOWS! We made this Gruffalo theatre and puppet set for our friend's son, on his 4th birthday. He has outgrown it and they re-gifted it back to us, which is totally amazing.

The kids love it and it has taken up a permanent corner of the living room. Part puppet theatre, part cafe, part drive-through window, it the source of hours of fun (and occasional brawls).

Eating lots of yummy summer food, including copious amounts of chocolate ice cream!!!

Blogging a bit and just taking care of general business. I now have Pippa working for the family company and, I have to say, she's turned out to be a real asset to the team. I don't know what we did without her?

We've been training to become professional archers and amateur campers. NATURE! We love it.

DRESS UP! We love to channel our inner Helena Bonham Carter.....who doesn't? Right?

Mixing and messing around with my summer art course. I think the kids have gotten as much out of the lessons as I have. Our kitchen island has taken a real beating.......I think it might finally be time to replace the plywood counter top with something more permanent and less collaged.

Connecting with friends and cousins and enjoying the insane heat as much as we possibly can!

 Oh, and Beth and I (with Winnie's help) have been re-vamping my wardrobe! More to come with better pics.....who knew it would be so hard to get an outfit picture?? Picture or no pictures, I'm super happy with the results! Can't wait to share.
