Winnie's Curls.

Winnie has threatened, for at least a year, to cut her curls.
Two weeks ago, I found her behind my bedroom door lopping off curls, one by one.
















I almost cried.

WHY? Why would you ever want to cut that hair? I don't understand it.....

"Mom. Stay Calm" she says.
"Don't be sad! I had curls hangin' in my eyes and dey needed to be cut and Jade was not available so...."

Her hands in the air, eyes rolling, as if this is THE most obvious thing.

*Note: Jade is my hair dresser.

Anyway, the panic passed and because her hair is SO curly you can hardly notice the cut.....
except when her hair is wet.

When wet, her curls become super tight spirals, short on top and very long in the back.
Hence the new nickname Jamie and I have secretly given her: Kenny Powers.
