1 day over due and things are finally coming together!
I was staining the stair railing today and I couldn't help but look down our new hallway and daydream about the chubby little feet that will plod along these old wood floors. Chubby feet that will grow slowly into bigger and bigger feet. Teenage feet. Young adult feet. Feet that leave for university and jobs and travelling. In an instant it felt like time was slipping away too quickly, like there would never be enough days or hours or minutes....and I thought, this baby can stay inside my tummy, ever so close and safe, for just a little longer......
OMG YOU HAVE A HOUSE (yes, I really am shouting & jumping up and down!!!)

And the floors look even better now that the house is 'complete'. Gorgeous!!

I feel the exact same way you do about time slipping away too quickly. I daydream about my kids (18 months and due May 22) growing up and it just makes me want to cherish every second.
