Holiday Gifting: Music, music, music!

Music is (I think) the ultimate gift. Some of my very favorite gifts from birthdays and holidays past, are good old mixed tapes and cds.

Every other year, Jamie and I put together a new Christmas CD compilation for our friends and family and we mail them out at the end of November so they can be enjoyed all holiday long!

The play lists are getting harder and harder to make....there's only so much Christmas music out there, am I right? Nonetheless, we'll keep trying as this is one of our favorite holiday activities!







We also chose to make a music collection for Winnie this Christmas. To save our Ipod docking stations (she's already broken one, putting on her music over and over again) we bought an inexpensive cd player ($35) and assembled a number of favorite children's cds: Sharon, Lois and Bram, Raffi, Peete Seeger and, her favorite, Elizabeth Mitchell's You are my Little Bird.



I can't wait until her new room is done and she can play her music "LOUDER" just the way she likes it, 'til her hearts content!
